So, I typically don't enjoy when retailers set up early for special sales. Can we get through one holiday before moving onto the next please? But, recently, I have realized there are a few benefits to us as customers, if we take the time to appreciate them.
Here are my top 3:
1. Catching Great Sales: Many business owners, myself included, start sales for special occasions early. You can almost always find better deals when you plan to shop early instead of waiting until the last minute.
Here's an Example of a Great Sale Available through my Avon e-store
2. More Time to Find the "Perfect Gift": When you start shopping early, you have time to peruse a wide selection of gifts that would suit your gift giving needs.
Mother's Day is Coming Sunday May 8th
3. No Stressing at the Last Minute and Shopping the "Whatever's Left" Aisle: Nothing is worse than shopping in a store full of people, all shopping for the same purpose, and then picking up whatever you can find that seems remotely gift-able. It is the thought that counts, so if you care about the person you are shopping for, put more thought into the gift (and your sanity).
So, early holiday setups in the store aren't all that bad. Save yourself some stress this year and get your shopping started (and finished!) early.
